Absentee Blogger

Yikes! It’s been a while since I posted anything new here. I’ve been busy with the usual: Deadlines. Guest dogs. Knitting. More deadlines.

Last week – which if you scroll down a tad you’ll see was Writers Worth Week – I spent cheating on you with another blog. My friend Lori Widmer, the very founder of Writers Worth Week, landed herself in the hospital and asked if I’d tend to her amazing blog while she was out of commission.

It was a pretty simple task since she had everything planned ahead. All I really needed to do was cut, paste and schedule posts from a few of her guest bloggers.

I’ve always loved Lori’s blog. It’s smart, informative and she really knows how to build a community of supportive writers. Now I’m blown away thinking about how she’s managed to maintain her blog’s keen focus on the freelance writing business.

My hand-knitted hat is off to you, Lori. May I one day be half the blogger that you are! I’m glad you’re on the mend.

  1. Pshaw! You’re not an absentee blogger! You still blog more than most, me included. And like you said — you were a busy girl on dear Lori’s blog. It was wonderful of you to help step in for her as I know how important Writers Worth Week is to Lori.

Thanks Meryl. It was fun getting a sneak preview of some of those great guest posts! I was also glad to be able to help Lori out so she could focus on recuperating.

I really do need to get some new projects going for the blog, but I’m busy making more of the felted bracelets. Made some, posted about it. I want to see if they’ll sell at a big garage sale a friend of a friend is having. The friend said they think they’ll sell…we’ll see. If so: onto, Etsy.
