Family Crafts: Twig Art
My sister suggested another family craft project for our Thanksgiving retreat: making twig ornaments. So on our last full day up north, Lisa, Mary and I collected some fallen branches.
We cut the branches to various lengths and used hot glue and/or rafia to secure the joints. Some were left plain, others were decorated with tiny pine cones and bits of moss picked from some of the unused branches.
After we’d each made a few stars, I said they kind of reminded me of The Blair Witch Project. My brother-in-law pulled up some images from that film. Thankfully those were stick figures, not stars. Still, we couldn’t help but add some dramatic flashlight lighting when photographing our twig ornaments.
